Looking ahead. Being bold. Taking risks. That's in Rik van Hees's blood. His grandfather did this by settling on the new land as a farmer in the 1950s. The Northeast Polder had just been drained and the first farms were issued. Farmers from all over the Netherlands built a new livelihood here. His father took over the farm, sold the land and started a contracting business. In that workshop, Rik tinkered with his first machines. Now, so many years later, there is VHM Machinery. A wonderful company that builds modular machines for box and bigbag logistics.
