This is Flevoland
Flevoland is the largest reclamation project in the world and thus a province with a story you won't find anywhere else. Where a hundred years ago there was only the Zuiderzee with islands like Schokland and Urk, there is now a modern society on man-made land, metres below sea level and protected by powerful dykes.
Six municipalities make up a province that is still growing and changing. That young soil and the guts with which Flevoland was made work through in today's mentality. Here there is room for new ideas, for pioneers, for people who want to move forward. From the development of Lelystad Airport to the construction of the Marker Wadden: Flevoland continues to innovate.
This is the place where history, ambition and future come together.
