Water and Work
Water is inseparable from Flevoland. Before reclamation, Urk depended on water because of fishing. And you can still find many water-related activities, such as ABC Houseboats. But not only on Urk. The whole of Flevoland is bustling with activity, on and near the water. Thanks to this ideal location on the water, you also see many water-related businesses in cities like Almere and Lelystad and along the edges of Flevoland, such as marinas, sailing schools and, of course, boat builders.

In a large covered industrial hall, the water homes are completed entirely indoors in conditioned rooms. The building is located on the canal and, via the Urk lock, the finished houseboats sail via the IJsselmeer to their new owner.
