The shortage of GPs is a national problem. In Flevoland, too, we are struggling with too few GPs. Read here the story of GP Wouter Hanssen from Emmeloord who says he is very happy with his practice in Noordoostpolder. He loves the space around him as a counterpart to his busy life. He would therefore like to enthuse more beginning GPs to settle in Flevoland. "Being a GP is a busy existence, says Wouter. 'Sometimes my job even takes precedence over my family. Then, when the work is done, it is nice to relax in a quiet environment".
